So You Think You Need a Facelift

Looked in the mirror only to hypercritically proclaim: "I need a facelift!"? If so, you are not alone. Every person over the age of 40 has begun to see subtle shifting in their facial appearance. Out of nowhere lines and folds have begun their development and all of a sudden, the once tight, sculpted chin has slackened leaving you feeling pretty glum knowing that you are beginning to look older than you ever thought possible.

You also know that if you aren't somehow, someway proactive, this aging is not going to correct itself.

There are only a few methods that will return the look of youthfulness to your face; some are natural, some are painful and expensive and some are just ludicrous gimmicks that deplete you of funds and subject you to great risk and bodily harm.

Which one would you choose?

The most talked about anti-aging remedies are terribly risky and dangerous because long term results have not been determined or documented. This includes injections and surgery.

Injections of foreign substances and cadaver material will definitely change your appearance; lips become misshapen and if the injections are used in the face, the face looks plasticized and unnatural. In order to maintain the results, further injections are required to be repeated over and over again. Just how many substances can the body endure? No one knows.

Surgery is very risky as well ? surgery is a crap shoot because no one can guarantee the results of a procedure. Not only are there scars that produce loss of sensation and feeling in the excised area, there is always a risk of infection and disappointment because the face is forever distorted by surgery. Further aging is accentuated because the muscles and skin are now draped unnaturally; the face loudly shouts that your surgical face lift needs refreshing.

One interesting item in the marketplace is the hand-held, battery powered, electro-stimulation device that shoots electrical micro-currents into the face. These devices can create a slight contraction of the muscle which may affect the skin very temporarily after four to six weeks of use; usually the user needs to continually treat the area each day to create and then maintain the results. There are cautions that need to be heeded using these devices. Over-use is a common side effect that can cause permanent damage such as involuntary muscle twitching which is not attractive and can be very disturbing to witness. An annoying stinging sensation is another by-product of superficial stimulation to the epidermal layer. Without resistance, the results are very temporary.

Another consideration beyond price and risk regarding injections and surgeries are the qualifications of the person executing the procedure. Is this person a physician? Is this person a dentist or a gynecologist performing plastic surgery? What's a girl to do?

Use a zero risk, no side-effect solution. It's true; a proven technique does exist that can correct aging, sagging faces. This solution is fast, safe and totally amazing.

Highly specialized facial exercises can easily restore your face to its former youthfulness. These exercises are easy to learn and easy to perform. They do not cause wrinkles as some physicians would like you to believe, rather, these exercises lift your face so dramatically, the results rival a magic wand.

In hardly any time at all eyelids lift and fine lines and wrinkles smooth. Your cheeks become prominent as your jaw sculpts and firms. From day one of this type of facial retraining muscles and skin respond to increased oxygenation caused by contraction and resistance exercises. The muscles begin to plump up, shorten and lift. Your skin responds by following the new, youthful positioning of the facial muscles. In just weeks your face looks revitalized and younger.

Keep in mind you can safely alter the shape and contour of your face and neck without an invasive, expensive, painful or risky procedure. These dire consequences are totally unnecessary if beauty and youthfulness are your desire.

Imagine yourself looking as young as you feel and you made it happen using only your thumbs and fingertips

The Latest in Facelift Surgery - a Younger Face in 1 Hour

Many women would like to have a cosmetic facelift surgery but many are worried that they would not be happy with the results. There is no turning back after the surgery. Many also say that such a cosmetic surgery would be too expensive for them.

For these two reasons non-surgery facelifts are booming. A 40% rise in 2007 is expected in facelifts without a surgery. In fact, many surgeons will tell women who consider a facelift surgery actually do not need one. Injectables and fillers are another option and can bring some great results quickly.

However, not everything can be treated with injections. The biggest problem is sagging skin when you get older. A surgery might be the only option to treat this problem. And achieving the biggest dream of most women, which is looking younger for at least 10 years, you will need more than just a few injections.

The latest trend is a new technique which is not a traditional facelift surgery but still offers longer lasting success than simple injections. It's called CounterLift. A CounterLift just takes about 1 hour and the recovery time is much shorter compared to a traditional facelift. There is also good news on the financial side of this new procedure. A CounterLift just costs about the half.

So how does this less-invasive new facelift surgery actually work? The CounterLift fills a missing gap in facelift surgery. Women in the age between 35 and 45 are usually not ready for a full facelift. For them the CounterLift is a perfect solution. Injections are helpful to fight wrinkles but can not do anything against sagging skin. Here the CounterLift will pull sagging skin together, well below the top layers of the skin so that no visible scarring can happen.

This new facelift procedure is much less invasive and gives the plastic surgeon more freedom to re-shape the face as well. It allows him to manipulate certain sections of the face without affecting others.

If you want to look much younger but were always worried about getting a full facelift surgery, you might find this new and cheaper technique appealing. Ask your cosmetic surgeon about this new facelift technique. It is not available everywhere yet but worth a look.

Beyond Blossoms Gives Online Flower Shops a Facelift

At Beyond Blossoms, a New England based flower company featuring European style fresh flower bouquets, business is blooming. With its newly redesigned website (http://www.beyondblossoms.com) the up-and-coming company is challenging larger competitors such as Proflowers and 1-800-Flowers to give customers a better online floral experience.

Before the launch, co-founders Josh Grossman and Gina Maschek researched how to differentiate their flower company from a sea of online competitors. Says Josh, Basically, we visited the websites of our major competitors acting as regular customers to see what we liked and did not like about their sites. The two created a long list of areas to improve on, including: offering fewer products and price points, offering more flower varieties such as lisianthus and cymbidium orchids, and creating a more elegant, minimalist interface. Gina comments, If you look at one of our competitors sites for example, a search for roses will lead to 259 results displayed over 44 pages. Too much choice leads to a cluttered looking website and customer confusion. We purposely limited our entire product line to about 30 bouquets so customers can make a decision a lot quicker. The website also allows users to search by flower color, earn rewards points for free flowers, get reminder emails (so you never miss another anniversary!), and specifies exactly how many stems are in each bouquet.

Josh, originally from New York, and Gina, originally from Germany, met while obtaining their MBAs from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. The owners launched Beyond Blossoms after writing a business plan for an entrepreneurship class. We were looking for a business that would allow us to be creative and sell something that people love. Flowers are the perfect item, Josh states. In 2003, the company began servicing clients in the Boston Metro area before moving to New Hampshire in August 2004 after completing its first round of financing.

Beyond Blossoms buys its flowers straight from the grower to make sure theyre fresh. Using only 2-3 kinds of flowers in each bouquet, the company gives the arrangements a sophisticated look different from garden-style bouquets (which typically use a large mix of flowers and colors). A good example is the companys Mediterranean Stroll Bouquet. It combines orange roses, purple trachelium, and lime green bupleurum. Each bouquet is hand-tied so recipients dont need to do any arranging. Finally, the flowers are shipped by FedEx overnight in gift box so the recipient doesnt have to be home for delivery.
